Why a cycling evaluation

Do you have pain with cycling? Do you know why? We don’t just treat your symptoms. We find the underlying cause.

Exact movements, measured

The system accurately assesses and analyzes your exact movements as you pedal.

Muscle timing

Our cycling medicine page also describes electromyographic biofeedback (EMGBF), used to assess the quality and timing of the muscle groups involved in the pedal stroke.

For every rider

Advanced riders and weekend warriors both get the same detail.

What to expect

  1. History and exam

A thorough history, then a physical therapy exam of your musculoskeletal system.

  2. Filmed on your bike

LED markers go on your body to help calculate joint angles while you cycle in the clinic. High-speed cameras capture your exact movements as you pedal.

  3. A written report

You receive a written report and a verbal explanation of the cause of your pain. Exercise recommendations to start your rehabilitation come on day one, with a time-frame for your expected recovery.

Cost and what to bring

  • Cycling evaluation (2 hours): $375
  • Follow-up sessions (1 hour): $85
  • Please bring your bike and shoes
  • Wear athletic attire
